We named Anacapa Productions after the captivating islets of the Channel Islands, located just off the California coast. The indigenous Chumash people called this island “Ennepah,” meaning mirage, which referred to the island’s ever-changing appearance when viewed from different perspectives. This concept of a mirage perfectly captures the essence of our creative approach to storytelling, as we evoke the mesmerizing beauty of the moving image on a screen.
